Testimonials

We knew we wanted to work with a doula for the birth of our first baby, and interviewed several doulas. Brandi answered our questions, made us feel at ease, and brought a wealth of experience. She spent lots of time with us prior to birth getting to know our family, reviewing what to expect about the labor and postpartum process, and helping us practice techniques to cope with birth. Brandi also helped support us in making some key decisions before and during birth.
The birth of our baby was wonderful. Some of that comes down to luck and having a great medical team, but a lot of the credit goes to Brandi for helping us take a relaxed but focused approach to the whole process. Teresa, the birthing parent, especially appreciated the massage, counterpressure, heat pack, position changes, and dancing! Lupe, the non-birthing parent, appreciated being able to take a break for a moment and trusting that Brandi would be there to support Teresa.
So many of the hospital staff commented afterward on the wonderful “vibe” coming from our birthing room. When our baby finally made her appearance, Brandi caught the early moments of our little one’s life on camera. She shared a meal afterward with us and Lupe’s parents and made our first weeks home as a family less overwhelming with postpartum support. We hope to work with Brandi again!!

Brandi is the best, I honestly don’t know how anything could be any better. From the moment we connected, Brandi’s support and guidance were exceptional. Throughout my pregnancy and birthing journey, she provided unwavering care, knowledge, and compassion. Her calming presence and expertise made me feel empowered and at ease during labor. I can’t thank her enough for being an essential part of my childbirth experience, and I wholeheartedly recommend her services to anyone seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable doula.

I felt a connection with Brandi at our very 1st meeting, as she radiated such a warmth and love of childbirth that I knew she had to be my doula! She was great about being in touch with me in the months leading up to my due date, and we had a visit about a month before my due date to go over some labor positions and exercises, as well as just cover all the bases to make me feel the most prepared for labor and delivery...

My husband and I experience with Brandi Belger was nothing short of awesome... Brandi was there by our side once we came back from the delivery and she helped me with the first feeding. My husband and I were truly grateful for Brandi in our life as our Doula and being supportive through our pregnancy journey. I would give her 5 stars and recommend her to any couple.

Working with Brandi was an amazing opportunity for my family. After relocating to St. Louis during the middle of my pregnancy, I was desperate to find additional support for my husband and I because we are first time parents and all of our family lives 8 or more hours away. I was particularly interested in having support from a doula given the maternal health disparities that are unfortunately a stark reality for Black mothers living in Missouri. My husband and I were transparent with Brandi about our needs and expectations and she was able to affirm our desires based on the scope of her capacities and training. She was extremely resourceful with tips and strategies to ease aches during the final weeks of the third trimester and provided knowledgeable insight of the healthcare systems in the STL metro area. It was great being able to text her with questions or concerns. She even made a little “Bee Ready” heating pad infused with lavender essential oil that became a mandatory tool for coping with my sleep-time discomforts. Not only was Brandi a familiar face for me during labor, but she also did an excellent job of assisting and supporting my husband and mother during the process.

Brandi isn’t just a doula, with her genuine spirit, she naturally becomes a part of the family. She comes to the house and the family knows her like she’s one of us.
She’s knowledgeable and caters to your needs specifically. She doesn’t try to hold you to society’s standards but understands you as a person.
Motherhood is hard but with Brandi’s strong support, I feel I can make the right choices for me and baby even when the road is rough. I recommend Brandi a million times over and she would definitely be my doula of choice if I conceived again. If you’re worried about the money, she’s worth it! Your experience is worth it as well.

Brandi did an excellent job as my doula. She is passionate about being a doula and it shows in the support that she gave to me while she was my doula. She shared her knowledge with me about childbirth. She gave me emotional and physical support. At one point during labor, I had leg cramps and she massaged my leg to stop the leg cramps. I especially am thankful for her encouraging me by making low pitched moans as an example for me during the pushing stage of labor. She was very helpful to me. I would recommend her as a doula to anyone who may need one.

Brandi was an amazing doula. She gave me the confidence that I needed to deliver my baby naturally. She gave me the information I needed, answered all the questions I asked, and didn’t get annoyed with me if I asked her the same question more than once (pregnancy brain lol). Most importantly, she was there when I needed her the most and kept me calm when I kinda started to freak out. Brandi kept me grounded when I forgot my training sometimes. I just loved how down to earth and personable she was when dealing with me, my husband, and my other child (we were a handful). I would recommend Brandi to anyone thinking about having a baby naturally. She is the bomb!!!

My Mission

educate.

Inform.

empower.

An empowered birth is synonymous with an informed birth. The key factors in being empowered is Support and Choice. For each birth empowerment looks and sounds different and each story is unique and purposeful. When women are supported in informed decision making, all births can be empowering! Women who make informed and educated choices rarely feel negatively about their birth story, regardless of how that birth ultimately turned out.
